We are sure that you’ll love it here at Green Point Cottage. It is a very quiet waterfront community with friendly neighbours at the end of a private laneway. It is easily accessible to Picton, and then on to Bloomfield, Wellington, and the stunning beauty of Sandbanks Provincial Park.
The County has the wide variety of activities. There are plenty of interesting back-country roads with lots of history. The County is an active wine growing region. It features fabulous restaurants, and a burgeoning music and arts scene. Cyclists abound in The County. A day trip by bicycle is a great way to wander about. Green Point Cottage comes with two bicycles if you don’t wish to bring your own. Green Point Cottage is situated on the shores of Long Reach Bay and, quite simply, has some of best fishing in the country. A canoe is available for your use. Bring your rods and reels!
The County has an interesting 250 year history including the arrival of the United Empire Loyalists following the American Revolution. History buffs will enjoy the story of the Mohawks who were granted the large land tract west of Deseronto for aiding the British. Prince Edward County was the Canadian centre of alcohol smuggling to the USA during prohibition, and it was the locus of most of Canada’s fruit and vegetable canning industry before the 1st World War.
